Best friends, Julia and Jane have been married to Fred and Willy for five years.  They describe themselves as happy. However, prior to their happy nuptials, they consecutively shared the same lover - Maurice Duclos, a dashing Frenchman. Now, guess who's back in town and requesting the pleasure of their company? Fortunately, Fred and Willy have left for a golf weekend. The ladies are on their own, with whatever assistance champagne can offer. This is Noel Coward at his inimitable best. The story is a hilarious cocktail of wit, charm and sharply observed human foibles.

First performed in 1924, Fallen Angels is rarely produced.  Yet, it is one of Coward's best – full of youthful optimism and energy.  In all his work, Coward explores types of human relationships.  However,Fallen Angels is unique in focusing on same-gender friendships. Julia and Jane's deep friendship contrasts sharply with their marriages.
